ABOUT SEED
SEED – Sex Education Decolonized is a movement created with the objective to eradicate all forms of violence against women, and dedicated to creating a safe world for all women and girls, free from coercion and violence.
SEED's work spans two interconnected areas: decolonial sex education and gender violence prevention for adults, and anti-racism education for children through The Sun People and the Ice People — an educational package developed for primary schools, comprising an animated cartoon, storybook, pupil activities, and a teacher's guide.
SEED is proud to be a project of the Maangamizi Educational Trust (MET), positioning the prevention of violence against women within the broader framework of reparatory justice and racial and intercultural equity.
In addition, as the Luxembourg representative of ENGOCCAR, SEED prioritizes the safety and well-being of marginalized and racialized communities, particularly women and children, by addressing the complexities of intersectional violence they face.
SEED strives to identify and address the root causes of both gender violence and racism by adopting a decolonial approach, leveraging both scientific research and lived experience. SEED's mission extends to restoring the relationship between men and women, and to raising the next generation with the tools to recognize and challenge racism, through institutional and educational change.
