
CONSULTANCY SPECIALIZED IN GENDER VIOLENCE PREVENTION
SEED provides a safe space for racialised victims by responding to gender-based violence and addressing gender equality within a racial context.
SEED supports survivors by influencing positive change that will eventually reduce and eliminate gender-based violence and secondary victimization.
1) Survivor Support Service: Providing guidance to survivors within the racialised communities on their rights in order to prevent gender-based violence and secondary victimization.
2) Research and Data Analysis: Performing studies and analyzing data to understand the causes and impacts of gender-based violence and secondary victimization. Developping recommendations, and effective prevention and intervention strategies.
3) Advocacy and Lobbying: Develop recommendations, policies, procedures, guidelines and effective prevention and intervention strategies that meet the needs of racialized survivors and prevent secondary victimization.
4) Training and Resource Development
- Workshops and Seminars: Developing specialized educational training programs on recognizing and responding to gender violence, and preventing secondary victimization.
- Resource Development: Designing toolkits, guidelines, and other programs that address different aspects of gender violence response and secondary victimization prevention.
5) Community Engagement
- Building Networks: Engaging in community outreach programs with community leaders, organizations, and members of the racialized communities to raise public awareness and foster collaborative support networks to combat gender violence.
6) Awareness Raising
- Public and Media Events: Participating in media interviews, conferences, seminars, roundtable discussions and other public events to raise awareness, to promote and advocate for cultural and social change.
7) Advisory Committees and Task Forces: We aim to serve on panels that advise governments, organizations, and institutions on policies and strategies that prevent secondary victimization related to gender violence.
