What is SAFE - Stop Abuse For Everyone

SAFE is an initiative by the Maangamizie Educational Trust (MET) and SEED. SAFE is a low-threshold contact point that puts the rights of victims of violence against racialized women at its heart, the primary goal of which is to prevent secondary victimization. SAFE provides a safe space for women and girls experiencing gender and intersectional violence, but does not exclude men and boys.

SAFE considers that victims who are subject to intersectional discrimination need specific assistance and protection due to their personal, social, cultural and ethnic circumstances, which often cause them to have greater difficulties in gaining access to information, protection and help.
