TERMS & CONDITIONS
As soon as you use one of our services, these Terms and Conditions apply. SEED – SEX EDUCATION DECOLONIZED wants to clarify matters such as payments, cancellations, complaints and confidential information.
DEFINITIONS
For the readability SEED is appointed with 'we' and 'us'.
Participant: the natural person who participates makes use of SEED services. For the readability the Participant is addressed with 'you'.
Client: the natural person or legal person (e.g. an employer) who provides an assignment to SEED.
Session: all services.
1. APPLICATION
These general terms and conditions apply to every agreement between SEED and the Client and/or Participant.
2. NATURE OF THE SERVICE
The assistance is based on self-directed learning. SEED provides an empathetic environment so you are not told what you should or should not do, but by means of questions and exercises based on your own experiences you are supported to obtain your own insights. You remain responsible for your own learning at all times.
Questions about the service can be directed to seed.sexeducation@gmail.com or by telephone at +352 691 564 872. All requests for information will be answered within a reasonable period of time, often the same day, but at least within 48 hours. If due to complexity or circumstances, more time is needed to answer a question, a response will be given within 48 hours if you can expect a more extensive answer.
3. INFORMATION PROVIDING
You must provide us with all information necessary for the proper execution of the assignment. For example, medication use and previous (psychological) treatments and/or diagnoses.
4. LIABILITY
We assume that you are able to take care of yourself. In case of serious physical or psychological problems we advise you to first consult a doctor or psychologist. You are responsible at all times for the choices you make, for your own behavior and the consequences of these.
We are never liable for direct damage or indirect damage, emotional damage or damage resulting from decisions you have taken. If you do damage possessions or property of us or other participants, we can recover this damage from you.
5. TERMINATION PARTICIPATION
If a Participant is under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, creates dangerous situations during the session or group activity or disrupts the smooth running of the Session to such an extent that fellow participants and/or the professionals are hindered, SEED is entitled to deny further participation for safety or other reasons. Definitive exclusion of the Participant, in the event of a disturbance, is possible after having been properly warned,
6. PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
During a session: Everything that is discussed during a session is treated as confidential.
During a group session: If you participate in a group session, you must treat all information as confidential. If you want to share or discuss confidential information, first request permission from the person in question.
Dealing with confidential information: Confidential information is never shared with third parties, unless you have explicitly given permission. If notes are made, they are written and are never shared. Not even with you or the Client. If a Session or Presentation is used (eg for professional development), your privacy will be protected by omitting or changing all confidential information.
Contact details: SEED saves your contact details for administration, such as for sending an invoice.
7. COPYRIGHT
Unless otherwise stated, all rights to information (text, image, sound, video, etc.) that you find during the sessions and group activities are held by SEED. Are you considering to use, entire or partial takeover, placement on another website, multiplication in any other way or commercial use of the information in our materials, please first contact us via seed.sexeducation@gmail.com.
8. WAITING LIST
If there is no room at the time of registration, you can send us an e-mail to be put on the waiting list. As soon as a spot become available, the first person on the waiting list is approached via e-mail. If you do not answer in time, the following will be approached.
9. CANCELLATION
You can cancel via telephone or e-mail.
10. COMPLAINTS
If you are not satisfied with any of our services, you can report this via e-mail to marissadaruwalla@gmail.com.
I (Marissa Daruwalla) answer within a maximum of 48 hours and let you know how the complaint is being dealt with and the period in which it is estimated that it will be completed. The aim is to make a first solution proposal within 14 days and to resolve the complaint satisfactorily within 4 weeks.
11. INDEMNIFICATION AND AMENDMENT
Third parties can not derive any rights from the services provided by SEED. We are entitled to change or supplement the general terms and conditions. Changes of minor importance can be made at any time. Major substantive changes are (in advance) discussed with the Client or Participant.
